COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE FOR PRODUCTION AND POST
First and foremost – the 90 Degrees West team hopes that everyone’s families, friends and loved ones have remained healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our well-wishes and prayers go out to everyone battling coronavirus and those who have been affected by the pandemic in a variety of other ways.
We also want to thank the healthcare workers and public safety officials that have been working tirelessly to care for our communities. You have been inspiring.
During this global emergency, we have been fortunate enough to continue to create content for many of our agency partners and clients through remote edit sessions, zoom meetings, and screen shares. We have more than doubled our internet bandwidth and invested in new hardware to keep the whole team connected.
Nothing can replace the collaborative energy of being together on-set or in one of our edit suites, but we have adapted, thrived, and most days even put on a pair of real pants. We have been working hard to be extra-prepared when business resumes and we start living in our new normal.
Our plan follows the recommendations of the CDC and WHO we will continue to monitor updates very closely as we return to the office and shooting locations around the world. Safety is, and will be, paramount to maintain healthy distances and sanitization practices throughout our workdays.
We also have detailed recommendations of how sets in general can be run safely and how each department can help minimize any risk of exposure to clients, cast and crew.
For those with a more immediate need, remote production is also a possibility and something we have produced in the past with clients who were unable to attend our shoots in-person.
There is always a way.
If anything, this separation has cemented how fortunate we are to work in a community where people are making a difference and an industry that rallies around each other when challenges arise.
We miss all of you and can’t wait to see your smiling faces – even if they are covered with a face mask.
